520 Futsal Joins Season Three of United Futsal’s Champions Cup Series for 2023-2024
Tucson, AZ (July 25, 2023) - United Futsal is thrilled to announce that 520 Futsal, a prominent youth futsal club located in Tucson, AZ, has officially joined Season Three of the Champions Cup Series (CCS) for the 2023-2024 season.
Founded in the summer of 2022, 520 Futsal has been committed to serving the youth of Tucson since its inception, regardless of socio-economic status. The club’s mission, under the leadership of Club Directors Amber Adil and Noah Raney, is to provide opportunities for all young athletes to improve their fundamentals and facilitate friendships among players from different backgrounds. 520 Futsal's participation in the CCS will undoubtedly elevate their players' skills and passion for the game.
With an impressive coaching staff that includes experienced individuals such as Noah Raney, Bubba Delgado, Carlos Armendariz, and Roberto Garcia, 520 Futsal has continuously strived for excellence. Several of their players have already showcased their talent in Season One of the Champions Cup Series, with their 2013 team triumphantly winning their bracket.
Looking ahead to Season Three of the CCS, 520 Futsal is aiming to offer their players unparalleled opportunities to compete with the best in the nation. Club Director Amber Adil expressed their goals, saying, "United Futsal has the ability to bring together the best youth futsal clubs in the United States, and we’re excited to offer our players an opportunity to play with the best, and develop their skills and passion for the game. We also hope to generate excitement in our community for futsal and inspire new players to join this movement."
To ensure their success in the upcoming season, 520 Futsal has taken significant steps in preparation. They have enlisted the expertise of coach Carlos Armendariz, a former player at CSU Bakersfield and USL 2 team FC Tucson, who brings extensive futsal experience to the club. Additionally, 520 Futsal has planned a series of tournaments, scrimmages, and special training sessions to hone their players' abilities.
For the club’s players, competing against the nation's finest futsal talent serves as a source of inspiration and aspiration. Witnessing the highest level of talent firsthand fuels their passion for the game, driving them to continually improve their skills.
