Please read below for more information about the partnership.
United Futsal is extremely grateful for all the Brazilian teams that have attended and grown our tournaments over the years. The Disney event and the World Futsal Cup have become the biggest youth futsal tournaments in the world with more teams applying each year. As a result, United Futsal has partnered with BRA Assessoria in order to provide a direct contact in Brazil during the tournament application process.
"Brazilian teams will now have direct contact with a Brazilian-based service provider, which will positively impact customer service, payment plans and player experience overall," said Leo Meireles, United Futsal Technical Director.
Furthermore, Brazilian teams interested in competing at Disney or the World Futsal Cup will apply directly with BRA Assessoria starting in 2020. We understand that there may be questions about this decision. To be clear, United Futsal has outlined to BRA Assessoria the expectations that our customers have when committing to our tournaments. United Futsal and BRA Assessoria share the same goal of providing an unforgettable experience for Brazilian teams that compete at Disney and the World Futsal Cup. BRA Assessoria will build upon the professional organization at our tournaments and make the application process as easy as possible for teams that participate.
"BRA Assessoria is committed to providing more development opportunities and new experiences for the clubs and athletes involved," said Rafael Franco, BRA Assessoria CEO. "We believe this partnership will help children develop as athletes but also as people. BRA Assessoria and United Futsal work for these same purposes.
In 2008, former basketball player and coach Rafael Franco established The Score Brasil - Sports & Events. The company organized international sporting events, clinics and camps for teachers and athletes as well as took Brazilian professionals and athletes to study abroad. Four years later, The Score Brasil was rebranded to Score Sports Academy in Davie, Florida. The company brought more than 7,000 students to participate in U.S. events and helped over 350 young athletes receive scholarships at American universities.
In 2017, Franco partnered with other investors in Brazil. The Score Sports Academy became BRA Assessoria Acadêmica e Esportiva, a company that connects academic and sports to life experiences. Today, BRA Assessoria has three main services: international tours, sports exchange and management of three licensed NBA Basketball Schools.

“I hope our players take away the love of competition,” said Frank D’Angelo, Chicago Street Futsal Founder. “That’s why we brought them to the Champions Cup Series. It was a really good tournament with great competition. Some victories and losses and a lot of growth from our players.”
“The level of competition was great,” said Kit Stephenson, Rise Futsal Academy Director of Coaching. “Every single game was difficult and they had to learn something, such as the different styles of play. That was really cool. You could see all of our teams were better by the end of the tournament.”
Furthermore, the final regional tournament provided players, coaches and parents with a glimpse of what the Champions Cup Series (CCS) offers. Following CCS Central Regionals, sights are now set on the CCS National Championships held at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida.
“Everyone at our club is fired up for Disney now,” said Stephenson. “For the parents that were new to United Futsal, they have now seen the branding and level of professionalism They are super thrilled to get to Disney. We couldn’t be more excited.”
The inaugural CCS National Championships held July 28-31 will bring together the Eastern, Central and Western Regions for the next elite youth futsal tournament of the Champions Cup Series (CCS).
Rob Andrews, President of United Futsal, added, "STL Futsal has taken tremendous strides in the past year. The club showcased its quality at Disney last year and will surely do so in 2020. We are excited to see how the club matches up against the world's best!"
The club will feature 4 boys and 4 girls futsal teams in bi-annual age divisions for the Champions Cup Series. Each team will compete in 3 official tournaments each year: Regional Championships each Winter and the National Championships and World Futsal Championships each Summer.
