“Tulsa SC is increasing its investment to develop the top soccer players in the City of Tulsa and throughout the state, which led to the hiring of Leo Meireles, a very experienced former futsal player and expert coach, as our new futsal director,”' said Barry Williams, President of Tulsa SC. Coach Meireles has a vision to build a futsal academy where any player in every age group can have a pathway in futsal and compete at the highest level.

Coach Leo Meireles has extensive coaching experience, including coaching both sports (futsal and soccer) in different countries (Brazil and USA), different ages (from U6 to Adult), and at different levels (from rec to semi-pro). He has a strong belief that futsal is a key component of maximizing development of players within the United States, and is excited to be a part of reaching more of the youth players throughout the Tulsa community. “In futsal, everything you do is done more often. Futsal provides repetition over and over again, and everyone learns best through repetition. The constant action, with and without the ball, provides more opportunities for players to learn and grow,” Coach Meireles stated.
