DPA Director of Coaching and Futsal Programming, Ana Bruni, was born and raised in Brazil and played futsal combined with soccer year around since the age of 9 years old. "Futsal not only developed my foot skills and perception to read the game, but it also gave me instruments to solve any type of challenge at high speed since futsal requires a player to think extremely fast at all times. In addition, this beautiful game gave me tools to take me around the world and showcase my skills by acquiring full scholarships to play in Brazil, the United States and the United Kingdom. Futsal is a unique sport that builds unique skills but that transfers to the outdoor game. Every single club should include futsal training to develop players' confidence and movement on the ball as well as their ability to create space and support off of it."

United Futsal President Rob Andrews announced the club’s acceptance. “Having a person of Ana’s experience, knowledge and passion will be a huge boost for the league. We are excited to see the best players, coaches and fans Dayton has to offer compete against the top clubs in the world.”

DPA’s methodology is to conduct unique sessions that can be incorporated into an outdoor soccer development curriculum so players can relate to both sports year round. We encourage players U12 and below to train Futsal during the Winter and the Spring and joining the CCS will open the possibilities to keep training and competing over the Summer as well.

DPA will field 4 boys’ and 4 girls’ futsal teams in bi-annual age divisions for the Champions Cup Series. Each team will compete in 3 official tournaments: Regional Championships each Winter and the National Championships and World Futsal Championships each Summer.
